Autumn colours are beginning to pepper the woods in my area of the UK. But the oak trees remain predominantly green. On a walk last weekend I spotted the occasional twig of oak leaves knocked down by the wind, and on these small branch terminals the colours of Autumn were fully developed.
All it took was a little judicious pruning of unwanted leaves, lining the required leaves up to become translucent with late afternoon sun, and the shot was set.
You make it sound so easy!

Thanks Ken. The tricky bit was persuading a twig to lie the right way on the grass. Thankfully there was no wind.
