Another image from the iPhone today, processed in Photoshop. This is Skelwith Bridge over the river Brathay just north-west of Ambleside and a favourite spot of ours for a morning coffee at Chesters, which is directly behind me in this shot.
The weather up here is variable. Raining one minute, sun trying to shine the next. And of course when it is feasible to take shots the sun disappears; and as soon as I start to drive, or we are in a ‘dead’ area for images, the sun chooses to shine. Typical!
Nice capture, looks like a nice neck of the woods.

Thanks, Mark. This is just at the entrance to the Langdale valley – some really beautiful scenery up there if only the sun shines!

Beautiful shot buddy. Love the reflecting light off the water. Sick bridge 🙂

Hello Andy meant to send this yesterday but was running a workshop, giving a camera club talk near Reading in the evening and advising a lady and her husband who are coming to Africa with me and was worried by what her GP had told her about yellow fever jabs for over 60’s and so day rather ran away with me.
Have you looked at the work of Chase Jarvis ? He has a saying “the best camera” —- is the one you have in your pocket ——- and is a great proponent of iPhon-ography as he calls it. I heard him talk once and he was really interesting.
Regards Bob
PS haven’t forgotten about PowerPoint let me get the next few days out of the way and I will suggest a date.

Thanks Scott – Sitting by a stream, hearing the gentle roar drowning out all other sounds is deeply satisfying. Better still when the sun shines!
