This is one of the more bizarre reflections that I’ve captured from the Docklands area of east London. Whether the glass facade was planned to reflect its neighbours in such an outrageous way or whether this happened purely by chance is immaterial. It’s resulted in something rather special. And I’m sure I am not the only photographer to have spotted it.

If I just let my eye float over the image, I get an impression of totem poles from the Pacific Northwest, especially in the left and middle sections. I really like the photo, Andy. I wonder if the architects and builders have noticed the result of their work.

I have often wondered, as I walk around eow buildings in London, whether the responsible architects had considered how the neighbouring buildings would interact visibly with each other. I think that viewing complex abstract reflections as seen in this image leads to us all seeing something different and personal. I see snatches of faces and eyes.
