Arrived

We have arrived in our new house and I am finally back on air. The majority of the boxes have been unpacked, my study set up, the iMac plugged in and then a hiccup…. Where’s the mouse?

Where’s the flipping mouse gone? Frantic search for well over an hour saying quietly to myself: ‘don’t panic, don’t panic’. I knew it was somewhere safe but it was in such a safe place that even I was completely unable to find it, until on the third circuit of all the likely packing places I found it. Then a further momentary memory glitch… what’s the password?

So here we are – turning a house into a home and feeling very much ‘at home’. Me and my dear wife Charlotte currently feeling our age, hobbling around with aching  backs thanks to all the lifting and carrying of boxes and the shifting of furniture.

On one level the worst is done, we have emerged at the other end of the tunnel having safely negotiated the process of ‘moving’, but as Charlotte says (and she’s invariably right) it will take six months before we are properly sorted and we find a home for everything and get some pictures up on the wall etc.

Meanwhile this is the start of getting my life back on track with a bit of time each day now to browse WordPress and re-establish contact with all of you whose work I am used to seeing and enjoying and commenting on – something I have really missed for quite a few weeks. And new ground to explore with the camera.
