I seem to have taken very few images in the last few weeks. Life is a bit of a ‘blur’ with a series of tasks connected with a potential house move sometime in the months ahead. Yesterday a photographer came to take the photos for the Sale Brochure. The house had to be prepared, rooms tidied, objects removed, furniture moved around. There has been painting and gardening daily. And a lot more that I won’t bore you with
I’ve only recently discovered WP’s weekly photo challenge (and no, I don’t know why it took me so long!) and so instead of scratching my head and wondering what to post, I thought I would participate in this week’s challenge – which is ‘Blur’. Somehow that seemed rather appropriate.
For me, any journey is an opportunity for an image. Even when taking the train to London I try to sit next to the window and have a camera ready. Have you ever looked out of the window of the train and seen the rails whiz by in a blur? I do frequently.
Great shot =)

Well, well….I wonder who will move first? Yesterday was photo day for me too!!

I expect it will be you. We have still not precisely defined where we move to. It depends on the day of the week! Currently it’s the Horsham area. And there’s always one day in the week when we give a big sigh and think: ‘I’m not sure I can cope with all this’.
Coffee break is over, so it’s time to pick up the paint brush again and spruce the porch up a little bit.

Oh, I do the “I’m not sure I can cope” bit, but I have to… so onwards and upwards is my mantra…. 😳

I have another blog friend who’s past the painting and cleaning and emptying. Now, they’re into the showing, and are having to leave the house at a moment’s notice, two or three times a day. I understand that potential buyers would want to have frank conversations without the current owners around, but I suspect the blurriness factor is going to increase for them, too.
Your image is wonderful. I can’t remember the last time I was on a proper train. I confess I don’t count NY subways or elevateds. My last real journey by train was in Germany, and I was much more intent on making sure I got off in the right place than enjoying the ride itself!

We’re very lucky to be not too far from a fast train to London – it makes getting to the capital so easy. One of our criteria for somewhere to live is to be reasonably close to a train service to London. We have a range of hurdles ahead – some good, some not so good. Having people dissect one’s house is one that I don’t look forward to. Glad you liked the image, Linda and thanks for your comments.

Easy to get hypnotised by those rails, Adrian. I’m off to size up Horsham next week, and that is not far from the oil find that is very much in the news today. Not sure if that is good news or bad news overall.
