Warped Facade

A few days ago we paid a visit to our local Ikea store. The façade of all Ikea stores (at least in the UK and I suspect elsewhere) is a combination of two bright colours – blue and yellow.

We walked the mile and a half through the store (or so it seemed), found what we wanted and headed back to the car. Our car is black, and black paintwork is a fantastic colour for reflections. I stared at the car and there was the storefront warped crazily.

I reached for my camera. Yes, the camera even goes to Ikea.

I distinctly heard a small child, who was walking by at that moment, say to her father: ‘Daddy, why is that man taking a picture of his car?’ I didn’t hear the reply.

Apologies for the crumpled wreck on the left of the image. Apparently it’s me. And notice the inverted image in the filler cap. Never saw that when I shot, but it just adds that little extra interest. Life’s like that.
