If you walk up through Chamonix and then beyond along the south bank of river Arve you will come to a complex of Concrete buildings, some with domed low-slung roofs. This area is collectively called La Cite Scolaire and includes the Lycée and the College. Also within this area is a Sports complex and the home of ENSA (Ecole Nationale de Ski et Alpinisme).
Wander through the school buildings and on some of the walls you will find a variety of well-executed wall paintings – presumably created by students. If it’s safe, always venture off the main routes, you never know what you will find tucked away.
In today’s post are the first two, others will follow in later posts. Considerable talent has gone into the making of these paintings.
Great images Andy. You are right they were painted by so very talented kids.

Thanks Scott. I don’t know the history behind that shark. Could it be ‘Jaws’?

You’re welcome, Andy…and I don’t know. When I first saw it, I thought about the shark in the children’s movie, “Finding Nemo,” but this one looks a bit more aggressive…even in its cartoon state….
